We’ve got love, we’ve got strength, we’ve been thru difficult times
There were wars, a great depression, unemployment, bread lines
There’s been injustice, but there’s been progress
Millions marching, acts of Congress
What I’m trying to say is………………… we will survive
There’s been elections, bitterly fought, tho this one’s worse then what we remember
I feel so low about next year, and its only November
What a year we have had
Musicians died, election’s gone bad
What I’m trying to say is………………we will survive
It looks grim, I’ve done the math, next year we may be on the wrong path
Not the first time, not the last, that our leader is a sociopath
Time to roll up your sleeves
All good people don’t just leave
What I’m trying to say is…………we will survive
