Written and recorded in the summer of 2017, or the 'Summer of the Orange Disaster'.(the alternative title I almost used was 'Fake News You Lose Blues') Its my way of trying to remain (somewhat) sane, vent a bit, make a few needed-to-be-said political points, and write about the disastrous policies and horrible tone of the current Trump administration. No guesses on how I feel on the whole thing, and there are many who feel of a similar opinion, I'm guessing.

At some point soon there will be another album of all non-political songs- many of those songs are already written, but I felt it was important to get this collection of more topical political songs out now as they are perhaps more time-sensitive.

Some of the points I try to make in this collection of songs as a whole include the fact that it's important to stay engaged, to vote, to participate in the political process, make your opinions known, work locally and globally for realistic and attainable goals, candidates, and ideas you believe in. Things like climate change are important, and see the big picture, but don't forget to act locally as well. And keep hope, and laugh a little.. remember, as I say in a song lyric, this is still the same country that elected, in a landslide, a progressive platform of 'yes we can'.
